SP's work, adding luster to my life

Time flies. It's almost five years since I joined the SP team of Zhejiang University Medical College. In 2015, my friend introduced me to participate in SP recruitment with an attitude of trial and curiosity.
What is "SP"? I have never heard of it, so I feel very curious. I think that I have retired. If I can use my spare time to do some meaningful work, I will feel that I have not wasted the rest of my life. So, I came to Zhejiang University Medical College, after a series of strict training and assessment, I finally became an sp. I used to be a layman without a medical background. Today, I can play the role of patient skillfully, give feedback and guidance to medical students, and become a teacher for medical students.
Since I joined SP, my life has opened a new chapter. I have a new sense of new knowledge and new things that I have never been exposed to. Therefore, my enthusiasm for learning is also very high. I study medical knowledge with great care. After a period of theoretical and practical training, I can finally have interactive teaching with medical students.
I remember the first time I was asked to play a low back pain patient for medical students. At the beginning, I was worried about whether I could play the role. When I finished the inquiry teaching, the students' feedback made me realize the importance of SP in teaching. The student said: "before coming to the consultation practice, I thought that low back pain was a very simple disease. The consultation should be very simple. Today, I found that there are so many contents that need to be understood in detail. " Finally, the student asked me, "Ms. Yu, do you really have lumbago?"
I feel that I can do some work for medical education from some questions of the students. They make me feel the success and joy of being a SP. So I love SP’s job more.
I also learned a lot of medical knowledge during my work. These medical knowledge are very helpful to my life. I remember a time when one of my colleagues felt dizzy. She said that when she stood up, she felt a whirl and vomiting. Her blood pressure and brain CT are normal. But she was still dizzy and vomiting. According to the knowledge I learned at ordinary times, I told her to go to the big hospital tomorrow to see if it would be otolith? Sure enough, the hospital diagnosed her with otolith. She recovered in a few minutes after the treatment. Later, the colleague called the news. I'm happy, too. I think it's good to be a SP. Not only can I learn knowledge, but also can help people around me to solve some health problems.
When I do SP work, I also have some confusion. Once, when I took the exam of training doctors, I had to memorize 5-6 medical records every day. I feel that I am old and have a poor memory. So I have to work harder. In addition, when I do the physical examination for the students, I also suffer some injuries. I remember one time, I was cooperating with the students to do neck lymph node examination one morning, and my head and neck were already very uncomfortable. But the last student's hand gesture was too heavy. At the end, the parotid glands on both sides were swollen and my neck couldn't move. I deeply realize that it's not easy to do SP either. Only when you fall in love with this job，you will keep going.
Looking back on my experience of doing SP for many years, although I have made some achievements consciously, I also realize that I have some shortcomings and need to strengthen my study. Although I am a little older, I will continue to work hard to be a qualified SP.
SP's work enables me to give full play to the waste heat of my life, contribute to medical education, and add a little more color to my life.
